The practice

About

Nextgen Cloud Tech is a Christchurch consulting practice focused on business planning for new and early-stage ventures.

Why we exist

Early ventures fail plans more often than they fail effort. Founders sketch offers on whiteboards, then face lenders, partners, or their own savings with documents that do not match how the work will actually run. We started this practice to sit in that gap — between ambition and a plan that can be read aloud without flinching.

How we approach the work

We favour plain language over jargon. Sessions are working meetings, not lectures. We ask for evidence on customers and costs, and we write assumptions so they can be tested later. Where New Zealand context matters — GST treatment conversations with your accountant, regional demand, or local supplier realities — we keep the plan grounded rather than importing templates from other markets.

Who you work with

Engagements are led by consultants who have sat with founders across food, trades, creative studios, and professional services. We are planners and facilitators, not your lawyers or accountants. When a specialist is required, we say so early.

Values we keep visible

Clarity over theatre. A plan should be readable by someone who was not in the room.

Respect for risk. Personal guarantees and family savings deserve sober documents.

Honest scope. We decline work that needs capabilities we do not hold.

Location

Our rooms are at Level 5, 85 Hereford Street, Christchurch 8011. Many clients meet us there for discovery; others work entirely by video from elsewhere in Aotearoa.
